The husband-and-wife team are currently on a national tour, performing 150-plus shows this year.
The band’s website states, “Troubaduo writes mostly artistic Americana and folk with elements of blues, sunshine pop, rock, psychedelic, gospel, soul and jazz, placing an emphasis on lyrics.”
The duo has recorded with world-renown musicians linked to artists such as Tom Petty, Alison Krauss, Johnny Cash, Sara McLachlan and Sammy Hagar. Their list of musical influences include Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings, Tracy Chapman, Van Morrison, Ryan Adams, the Allman Brothers, Stevie Wonder, and Blues Traveler.
Troubaduo supports non-profits including PreemptiveLove.org, a reputable non-profit that raises money and awareness for children in Northern Iraq “whose bodies have been highly affected by chemical warfare and need new hearts,” according to its website.
Troubadouo’s accomplishments include being named featured vocalist of the month in the February 2009 issue of Songwriter Universe Magazine; and writing the Campaign song for the 2007 Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Stagelights Music Showcase

Saturday, January 29th, 2011
February 26, 2011
7:00 pmto10:00 pm

Stagelights Music Showcase is scheduled for February 26th a Saturday from 7pm to 10pm at the Performing Arts Center in Harbor

Stagelights is a non-profit organization  who’s goal is to provide opportunities for Musicians to showcase their talents to a local audience.  The last Stagelights Music Showcase held at the Performing Arts Center hosted a full capacity crowd of 70 to 80 individuals.  This is a great opportunity to get in front of a wonderful audience, and promote your music–you can sell your Cd’s and /or have flyers to hand out promoting your music.

We are looking for Musicians of all ages and genres to perform……..

We can accomodate individual musicians as well as groups……..

We are wanting to get as many Acoustic or Electric Acoustic performers as possible….

BUT there is an opportunity for a couple of all electric groups…….if they are willing to perform at a reasonable sound level considering the performance is inside and there is a limit to how much volume the space can handle……

We have three hours available to get through the program…… which includes the time it takes for each performer(s) to get on stage, perform, and depart the stage.  The time available for each performer will be determined as we get committments.

In past Showcases each group/performer was given time for 4 to 5 songs…….. 15 to 20 minutes.  Which translates into about 8 to 10 performances in a 3 hour period, so GET ON THE LIST ASAP.

PA with mics and stands will be provided.  There will be at least one drum set with accomodations avaliable for additional sets……. three max.  We have done this before and the stage is large enough to allow for pre-show set ups…..for those performers with amps or equipment that needs to be set up ahead of time…….. we incourage all performers to attend the pre-show set-up,/ SOUND CHECK …time is scheduled for this very purpose.

Please contact Gordon Later @ Earle E Books gordon@earlebooks.com   541.412.8099   if you have an interest or a question

MoodSwing
Ron Houck and Pamela Jones have been performing music together as Mood Swing, for over 16 years, at pubs, fairs and festivals around the country and at their own venue, “Mood Swing The Club”, in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Although most well known for his bass playing (upright and electric), for the last four years, the guitar has been Ron’s instrument of choice. They are often joined by Sir Walter Raleigh, their 8 year-old Border Collie mix, and yes, he DOES sing. There are several songs that he loves and knows quite well, including originals: “Raleigh’s Blues” and “Bloom Where You’re Planted.”

Great entertainers with comedy and heart!
Performing as an acoustic duo, Ron and Pamela create a beautiful sound, with unique harmonies and bold solos. Mood Swing provides the perfect entertainment for any event, large or small, with a variety of music including rock, folk, bluegrass and originals.

Mood Swing has two CD’s available: “Bloom Where You’re Planted” an acoustic rock album, with five originals and cover tunes from the Everly Brothers, Joni Mitchell, the Beatles and more; “Thursday Night at the Club”, a jazz CD with great standards and five originals.
Both are available at $15 each.
