Craig Allen Blues Band! Cancelled due to medical emergency

We are very sorry to announce that Craig Allen has had to have emergency surgery due to a diabetic condition, that he will not be able to perform this time around.  We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming him to Centre Stage at a later date!

Saturday, August 8, 8 p.m. – ???  The Craig Allen Blues Band will be on Centre Stage (and possibly in front of…) for a donation only concert to warm us up for their appearance the next day for the American Music Festival concert at Azalea Park. 

 

The Craig Allen Blues Band began making themselves known to Klamath Falls, southern Oregon and northern California in 1998 after it was formed in a little nightclub on Main Street known today as Tony’s Lounge or Antonio’s Cuchina Italiana.  Since that time the band has recorded three CD’s with a 4th slated for release this fall.   Their “Live at the Iron Horse CD” received rave reviews from radio stations and fans across the U.S. and abroad.

 The Craig Allen Blues Band includes Craig Allen, Tom Sims, Tom Wallenburn, J.J. Hannum, Curt Christian, Robert “RC” Harlow. 

The Backstage Cafe’ will be open for espresso and refreshment during this event.

Saturday, August 1  7-10 p.m.  Centre Stage will present a Homestyle Mexican Feast (prepared by The Backstage Cafe’) and country music by long time Brookings musicians Rapp Brush and Cousin Elmo.  With Rapp on guitar, Elmo on bass, and both sharing vocals and harmonies, this show will really take you back to the good old country sound.  Add to that a luscious dinner featuring tacos, chili rellenos, rice, beans, and dessert…what a great bargain for dinner and a concert,  tickets are only $15.  Advance reservations please.  Tickets available at Earl E. Neil Fagen and Scott Perry in concert!

Friday, July 24, 7-10 p.m.  Local musicians Neil Fagen and Scott Perry will be performing at Centre Stage. 

Neil, age 56, has performed with and shared stages and life experiences with many big name artists.  In making his local debut he is also making his solo debut.  Neil’s influences in guitar playing are John Lee Hooker, Neil Young, and Eric Clapton.  He has had the pleasure of playing with two of the three.  He plans to share some of his memories with you and will play his original materials as well as his interpretations of songs written by the artists he has met or performed with.  

Scott Perry is an up and coming local talent (Crescent City), with a strong country influence to his music.  Scott performed some of his many originals, including “Livin’ Like a Redneck”, as one of the finalists in the Southern Oregon Idol competition.   Scott will accompany himself on guitar and keyboard.

Neil and Scott share a goal to bring joy to people through music.  Don’t miss this event and your chance to support your local talent! Saturday, July 18, 7-9 p.m.  Centre Stage presents… Singer/Songwriter Rebecca Brickley will be performing originals and covers of other favorites on the piano and guitar.  She will be accompanied by the talented Alyssa McClelland-Bane on the stand up bass and mandola.  Their style varies from jazz, acoustic folk & pop, and experimental.   $5 suggested donation

The Backstage Cafe’ will be open for espresso and other tasty treats before and during the performance. 

New Join In Jam night!

Thursday, July 2, 7-10 p.m.  We have changed the night for the popular Join In Jam, so that we can maintain a consistant schedule, as it has become more and more necessary to plan concerts for Saturday in keeping with traveling performers’ routes and schedules.  Please let us know how this works for you, when we polled our jammers most preferred Thursday over Friday.  So, grab your instruments and come on down!  Admission is free, but we truly appreciate your donations to the music fund.
